Welcome to Roscommon County  Enterprise Board

Roscommon County Enterprise Board is one of the network of 35 County and City Enterprise Boards that were established in 1993.   County Enterprise Boards operate under the Department of Enterprise Trade and Innovation, as the statutory agencies to develop micro business (less than 10 employees) at a local level throughout the country. Each Board is a limited liability company with locally appointed Board members.   Of the total number of businesses in Ireland, over 90% can be classified as micro enterprises.

Mission

To stimulate and support the development of local, micro enterprise activity throughout the county of Roscommon by:

• Promoting an enterprise culture and entrepreneurship at all levels.
• Assisting promoters to start new micro enterprises.
• Assisting the expansion of existing micro enterprises.
• Encouraging enterprises to use innovation and R&D to improve efficiencies.

Mission Implementation

Roscommon County Enterprise Board implements its mission objectives by:

• Providing Financial Assistance to micro enterprises.
• Providing, to new and existing micro enterprises, Business Supports such as: business counseling/advice; mentor support; management/staff training support.
• Co-ordinating and Sponsoring the Schools Enterprise Programme at county level.
• Administering and Sponsoring the annual County Enterprise Awards.
• Supporting Networks:  Roscommon Business Network and RosWIN.
• Providing Information brochures, assisting with business plans, business start-ups, etc.
